Pastor Brad was called to serve as the pastor of Historic White Marsh Church in January 2025, following the retirement of pastor Wes Hall. Pastor Brad previously served as the associate pastor at Historic White Marsh Church in 2024. Ordained in 2021, Pastor Brad began his seminary studies at Liberty University in 2022 and graduated with an M.A. in Theological Studies in July 2025. He will pursue doctoral studies in theology and apologetics at Liberty starting in January 2026.

Pastor Brad and his wife, Joanie, serve as the ministry duo, Alabaster Grace, writing, arranging, and presenting their original Christian music and speaking on faith and science throughout the Hampton Roads and Northern Neck areas of Virginia. They shared their music with the governor and other elected officials at the Virginia Commonwealth Prayer Breakfast in 2019 and 2022. Additionally, they presented their music at the Virginia Gideon State Convention in 2023 and 2024.

An aerospace engineering graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Pastor Brad previously worked for NASA for 32 years, serving as an astronaut instructor for the Space Shuttle, helping to design the International Space Station, performing crew systems research, and evaluating proposal concepts for NASA’s robotic missions to visit the planets and study the universe. While at NASA, he also accomplished astronomical observations of variable stars, novae, supernovae, and planetary objects, publishing over 20 papers in peer-reviewed astronomical journals. Pastor Brad additionally served as a United States Air Force pilot and pilot with the Texas Air National Guard.

Pastor Brad’s favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:28, ”We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose (NRSV).” A version of this verse can be seen in practically every book of the Bible, as God blesses those who love Him and work to glorify Him. In his spare time, Pastor Brad enjoys sailing, cycling, and exploring God’s creation through small telescope astronomy.
